I agree entirely, when I was growing up I would observe my dad working on his projects and learned from how he would start out as a perfectionist, then as the project progressed and time went on, and more problems arose... he would get frustrated and just start hacking things together. He would start out with a large initial investment in the project, spending good money on the parts he would use with great plans and intentions... but as execution of the plan went on, it would get progressively crappier. Lack of determination and comittment to the original plan, I try to avoid doing this but I think it happens to all of us. It's tough to stay focused especially on a long term project, it's easy to lose sight of the initial goal/plan.



But I think if you have a large investment in your project already (both time and money) it helps with keeping you bound to the plan. It's hard to justify cutting corners to compromise what can be a really nice end result given the large investment, effectively making all the initial time and money spent pointless because the results don't show it... all because you got impatient and/or frustrated.



There are some things I skipped for now just because the cold weather makes it very uncomfortable to do some things, I will finish those up when the weather perks up. I want the car running because we all know engines don't like sitting for a long periods without ever getting run.

 

I think I get my new found patience from work, so far my biggest

project was almost 900 hours. I just got done with one that was 325 hours, I can remember spending all my money on engine parts, then slapping them in my car with the mentality of "its a fast car, It doenst need to be neat, etc...."



Now I want the whole package.

Ive always prefered doing things good or not at all and when it comes to my car im always extra careful.

 

thank you I have been trying to figure out how the **** you attach the wires to those type of connections, guys at bestbuy even told me to use ring connectors, sweet!!!! I am using a mulitport battery clamp.....

 

How much were those terminals? Thay look really nice. I saw some really cool ones a short time ago. They had quick releases instead of screws. Keeps you from messing up the terminal everytime you take it off.

 

I think they were around $15 each, I definately did not get a good price though, the local mobiltel has everything overpriced, you can probably find them online much cheaper.
