Just thought I'd ask... Anybody have pics of thier install? I'd just like to see, that's all. I'm doing something a little different with my rear bins... Requires some cutting LOL...

Depends on what you see yourself doing in the future. If you plan on running the car at the track (a sanctioned track) you may not make it through tech inspection with the battery in the passenger compartement without an external battery switch, and a metal box enclosing the battery (NHRA rules) For the street classes you may be fine, but battery hold down is one of a tech inspectors pet peeves. If you plan on never going to the track then do what you want. I would check to see if anyone has purchased that battery and what type of life they have. Its basically a small Optima Gel Cell by the looks of it.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to do a little more research...

Looks nice Leprechaun! Question: What did you do with the negative terminal from the original location?

I asked the same question hundred times before. Basically what you do is either cut it or bolt it to the frame (that's what i did). I have that 3k hesitation as you already know, so i need more grounds. It's really easy to do man, as long as you have a hole or something to get + inside from the engine bay.

Bolt it to the metal subframe, scuff the metal a little to get a good connect.

It's the Miata high performance battery from Mazda, and I'm not expert on the Miata, but I believe every Miata battery from the factory was "sealed" because they put them in the trunk (?) or inside or something.
