put your car in 4th gear on an uphill.. put the pedal to the floor.. if the RPM's rise faster than the Speedo your cluch is slipping.

i'd just recommend an HD not a puck clutch.. after driving 3 different puck clutches never will i run one.. they suck ***.

Please explain.
Double clutching is uesd in OLDDDDD *** trucks and cars, push in clutch take it out of 2nd let clutch out, push in clutch and stick it in 3rd and let it out again. or its done in race cars with synchro-less transmisions. you my friend have neither. Accelerating in 2nd pushing on the clutch reving and dumping the clutch is called driving like a dumb ****.

Um, he has one of those spinny things that bolts onto the exhaust, on a street ported engine. He can spin them in third. Now quit being rude to other members you FNG!

Oh, as for the clutch, it's just a NA, a 6 puck clutch is a big over kill. But hey, you should know that now, cause everyone else has said that too.

i've seldom come across any manual car with a healthy clutch that couldn't chirp 2nd if you tried. Double clutching is useful in cars like mine that have a bad 5th gear syncho. When you double clutch, you are synchronizing the input shaft with the engine by matching revs with the clutch out the shifter in nuetral.

But still pointless on any modern car with a healthy tranny.

Maybe you were granny shifting, and not double clutching like you should...

so much hate. here's my input, i have a 91 pressure plate with a 93 clutch (my mechanic did it, dont ask me how). it's stiff, real stiff, i have to slip like crazy in 1st and even more in 2nd just to make things smooth.

it's even more of a pain when your sus bushings are old, along with the stock shocks. if you suspension is stock and worn, a stiff clutch/pressure plate combo is going to shake your car more than oprah walking down your street.

trust me, it's taken 6 months of driving my car just to make it feel like an automatic. as for the chirping, i do it. if a drop clutch gives you quicker times off the line, i dont see why it wont help going into 2nd. look at some of these people's videos at the track; i notice most have a distinctive chirp when going into 2nd.

i wouldn't waste my time revving between 1st and 2nd though, you're going to just kill your times. if you chirp b/c you shift so quick your engine doesn't have time to spin down and your clutch grabs so hard you're tires spin and you tend to have a heavy foot, well that's one thing. but doing in on purpose, that's stupid and a waste of speed/time.

Mine can too. Well. I got fourth once or twice.. but I can't do it on purpose..

Yea, that's when I knew I needed a new clutch for my FC..
