OK still have the vaccum leak on my car (AKA The Red Hoover) When I spray carb cleaner in the area of the BAC valve the car will idle, alibit poorly so it stands to reason the leak is there.

So I'm wondering before I tear into it, anyone ever have a BAC valve go bad in such a way that it created a vaccum leak? I mean there's the gasket and all but I'm gonna replace that I'm just wondering if I should look for anything else.

Anyone know of anything else around there that would cause said problems? It has no EGR or emissons spider due to an...accident.

I'm getting ready to get a can of plastikote and cover the intake with it

The leak may be coming from the air bypass solenoid, it's close to the BAC valve and would give almost the same symtoms when you spray carb cleaner.

I've got AC but it doesn't work, no does the heat all that well. Haven't gotten to soldering the CPU for the whole mess yet.

I'd love to remove everything not needed for the cars operation but that's just me. Love the car but there are (were) too many vaccum hoses on it.

Hrmm. Solinoid valve....I fixed a bunch of leaks with the hoses going to and from it so tho hoses themselves dont' seem to leak. I'll double check that when I pull the valve and redo the gasket.

At least I know it's a vaccum leak even if I can't find the damn thing
