Soory, my memory was shot, MAnaula mount is forward of the Auto mount. Here is a pic of my car when I welded the manual mounts in.

yeah i figured it was in front. how much work is the swap all together?? i talked to rp and they said they stopped doing it bc its a lot of work and even more than the fd swap. which sounds like bs to me

Did it in a weekend. Hardest part was lifting the carpet up to keep it from igniting, and swapping out the pedal cluster.
Drop the steering column to install Highlights. Dont forget a T/O Bearing Use new mounts and clutch line. Make sure you get an NA driveshaft |
are the mounts for the auto and manual the same? i mean the crossmemeber part. and was your carpet igniting bc you were welding under it?
|
No the mounts are not the same. Yes, the sounddeading material under the carpet is very flammable. I lifted the edge of the carpet. slid in a 2x4 to raise the carpet off the floor. After a short weld. I blasted a shot of CO2 under the carpet to cool it off

hmm, if the manual mount point is there i wont need to do any welding will i?
