to all the rx gurus out there

ive got a dead 86 that hasnt run in about four months

when it died it did it without any warning

cruising down the highway------wayyyyyyyy out in the country and push in the clutch to slow to a stop and i notice the tach sitting on nil

and hasnt started since

it acts like it did when it flooded before but when i did the (100 step) unflooding method and even a pressure relief kit from maxdatrix,,,,,nothing happened

now i did try fc3.com's trick of checking the compression using a standard comp guage and watching the needle for three even bounces above 85psi and it passed with flying colors.

i do have good spark by the way

a guy came into my store the other day and suggested that i drop the trans and re-torque the motor bolts to factory spec if loose and said that its possible to flatten out a housing that has been warped if ever ran hot.

so...................toss me your opinions if you would. at this point im up for anything....thanks :bigthumg:

If you have fuel and spark but it's not starting, it's flooded, the fuels gotta go somewhere. how did you check for spark? do you smell fuel? check the afm to make sure it's not stuck?
