I believe two piece are stronger than the stock 3 piece seals, and I have heard good things about Atkins seals. I am using them in my current rebuild. 3 MM would be stronger than the 2mm, but I don't think you need them unless you are going to use a high hp application.

Most people say that the stock 3 piece 2 mm seals offer the greatest sealing ability, thus making more power. I'm using Hurley 2 piece 3 mm seals, and they seem to be good.

the nice thing about hurley seals is they are softer so when they break they don't wreck the housings etc. if you don't plan on blowing the engine anytime soon use stock mazda 2mm seals.

Yeah, I've heard that about Hurleys. 3 piece seals are fine, unless you're going with bridgeports or peripheral ports.

What baffles? Do you mean the exhaust splitters in the exhaust ports?

They're supposed to quiet down the exhaust noise.
