does anybody know if the anti theft box being removed will affect the car not starting ? is this a dumb *** question?

i added my comment incase someone with a s5 reads it, I know its some kind of body computer that gets screwed up because my S5 car's alarm gets wacky sometimes. Its a fairly cheap body computer that controls that.

Being that I dont drive the car that much I just reach behind the seat, open the back bin and use the quick disconnect battery terminal.
