Default Another Torrington Bearing Question :-(

Eccentric bolt was loose and leaking oil. Since it was loose, I decided to replace the cooper washer and o-ring on the e-bolt and put fresh Loctite on the bolt.

Unfortunately, the pulley was removed as the bolt was being screwed out. The pulley and bolt came out as one. The e-shaft bolt appears to have been damaged and pressed into the retaining assembly. I'm concerned that the force of the pulley being removed with the e-shaft bolt caused the Torrington bearing to drop.

Question 1. Did I drop my Torrington bearing? Engine was not turned and clutch was depressed. I've dropped the front cover in the past with engine in the vehicle but I'm still recovering from a bad broken wrist and I don't have either the strength or flexibility in my dominant hand to pursue this job until I fully recover in about 6 months or so of constant physical therapy. I hate waiting that long if it did unless I can rule it out.

Question 2. How does one measure endplay and what am I looking for? I'm pretty mechanically included by don't own a dial indicator and would like a recommendation on what to buy to check and specific guidance on how to check it. I guess removing the starter and putting a pry bar on it should allow me to measure movement back/forth on the bolt with pulley installed is what to do? Someone talked about protrusion measurement but not sure I understand what he was talking about.

Question 3. My Vert has only 42k miles on it and I may just bite the bullet and remove the front cover. If anyone in Colorado Springs area wants to earn some extra money, please let me know. I don't want a dead vehicle sitting my garage taking up valuable space. Unfortunately, my wrist recovery has all but eliminated my snowmobile season so I can keep the sleds in storage and hopefully will ride in late March or April of next year.

Thanks to all who read and reply to this post. Any tips or advice is appreciated.
