get a 3 rotor an run that na, it would still be faster than a t2.

or course it would cost more but hey, you wouldnt have a turbo

The only "fast" N/A 2nd gen (depends what you think fast is) on this board I saw was some guy running 14.1 with keeping it fuel injected but he wouldn't give any details of his mods.... I'm sure it was expensive as hell though. Also, going fast is an addiction, the faster you go, the faster you want to go. You could run 14's all the time, get used to it, and think it's slow, then dump another few grand in for 12's, 13's, etc.... blah blah.

I'd get a T2 if you're looking for raw speed. If you can't find it or afford one, then think of other mods for your NA such as suspension or something.

I think NA's have some untapped capabilities... alot of the problem is not many people have invested the time or money into NA RX-7's... if you are willing to do the r&d and spend some money.. you can probably make an NA go very fast without a turbo. I'm trying it myself so I'll see soon enough. Most people see the gains that can be had for so much cheaper just starting with a TurboII and some fuel/boost mods and simply go that route. As TurboII's get harder to find I think we'll start seeing faster NA's. Just a matter of time.

well to get an na to be fast you have to ditch the 6 ports so you can put a big port on the motor, and if your doing that, a t2 swap is just as easy, or hard. with a big steet ported, 4 port 13b, and a carby youre looking at about 200rwhp.

The renesis has aux intake and exhaust ports. Granted, its "side" ported. Not peripheral, the website states that explicitly. The problem isn't with the aux ports, per se, but with the way they are utilized.

i think that the high revving na has some qualties id rather have over a turbo... shifting at over 8000. no turbo lag and beating cars with turbos with only 1.3 'regular' liters is pretty decent. also i like the sound of the na for some odd reason

i would do a 1st gen bridge w/ a webber carb. thats about all the motor id need. in a second gen, i would just go with a TII. in a 3rd gen, i would just leave it alone w/ some rims and im done
