OK i am about to do an air system charge and I can't find the proper fill capacity of the air conditioning system. Anyone know off hand?

 

From what I've been told , you're supposed to fill it until you see condensation forming on the lines and see no bubbles in the viewer window. can someone here correct me if I'm wrong?





By the way, these roll-out-water-and-dirt-and-grime-proof keyboards SUCK because they require that you practically SMASH the rubber keys down in order to get them to work. Because of this, please, disregard any sort of spelling errors I may produce. :-p Thank you.

 

if you do that you can over fill the system. Also this viewer window where the hell is it? I never seen one on my car. I need to know how many pounds of pressure it can take with the stock R-12. I am changing over to R-134a and if i do not know the stock pressure it should be at it will damage the already fickle system.

 

Mine is at the front between the bumper cover and the rad support. I also have that weird recall kit by the way.



The viewer window is REALLY small, but you'll see it.

 

i found it but i still can't find the correct pressure that it should run at so i just used an idiots guage and kept it in the green. So far no leaks and it is cold as ice.

 

I got mine filled by this huge *** machine thing with like ten billion gauges, and then a week later "BOOM!" I blew some sort of seal. :-D





Edit: Does anyone know if the system has like a relief valve? The A/C still works and is actually colder than it was previously, but non-wankel people have told me the A/C system does not have such a thing.

Strange part is, at first, it'd leak if I started using the A/C. Now I'm not so sure...
