on my 87 the passenger side headlight light wont come up by itself and even if you pull it up it falls right back down after investigating i found out that the bolt thing the little black arm hooks on it rotates freely in both directions. where as my left one doesnt do that. is this a sign of a blown headlight motor or does it just need to be torqued?





my second question is how long does the TPS usually last. ive owned my rx for 3 years and ive gone through 3 junkyard ones. is there some sort of prolonging them going out ?

 

right now my idle sets at 3k and bounces up and down to 3.5K

 

even if the motor was shot for the headlight, it should still stay up or down, depending on where you leave it... seems like a gear in the little control gearbox or soemthing popped out or is disconnected. The 3k rpm may be a vac. leak
