before you start investigating parts like the bac make sure every one of thoes wiring harnesses is extremelly tight or you might just have the same loose connection that i had.
I've been doing that.. and have noticed a few unplugged conectors, but I put them where they belong.. I changed the primary injectors, and got to check out all the vacuum lines in there and connectors with the intake off.. Hw bout stuff like bad grounds and and electrical system stuff, could this also add to the problem..

Uh, no.. I like to not sweat in my car when it is too hot to put the top down.. Besides, It is fast enough for me.. Even if it does weigh 3000 Lbs, and runs 18's in the 1/4

Try tuning the car up if you havent yet, when i first got my car it would do the same with the ac on when i pulled up to a light. After i got her home the first day and tuned it up and adjusted the idle i had no more problems.

Well a tune up is on the list of things to do. so Hopefully that and a good cleaning of the engine and electrical connections and ground connections will help..

mine does it now and then too, I refuse to raise the idle because

its idles perfect.

It starts and runs perfect, its tuned thats for sure, it will stall

when you are coming to a stop with the ac on right? I just pop the clutch

and get it started again, if its the BAC im sure it can be cleaned in my

case because otherwise the car is running 100%.

Does a sometimes bad BAC hinder performance or just idle?

rob i think the bac only helps the engine under load at idle so to answer your question no it wouldnt hinder performance.

try to spend about 2 hours washing waxing polishing up your car...when i shine up my vert all the little problems seem to go away...probly just coincedence...lol but i have the same problem sometimes...put it in neutral at stop lights when it acts up...or slightly push the accelerator pedal..brings the rpms up to what would be a normal idle...all temp fixes though.
