I've dealt with pistons all my life, and wanted to be different with a rotary, plus I've been around them some...and love the sound. So I've done a little bit of research...

Anyway, I've been eyeing a 1991 FC for 6 years, and my buddy finally decided to sell it. It has some front end damage...bonnet, bumper, fender and his head hit the windshield...but the engine and everything is just fine. Problem is that the battery died while it sat in his garage, so they haven't been cranking the engine at all (is it still cranking/turning-over with a rotary? What's your lingo?)......I know what you'd do with a piston-engine...but is there anything I should worry about with a stock rotary that's sat around 3 months or so? I know it has new apex seals, the guy I'm buying it from took really good care of it...the interior is immaculate, and the outside was just as good until he hit a pole at 10mph...it only has 111k on it for a 1991...help me out, thanks!

I had the same deal with mine. This guy had it for 2 years just sitting in his back yard, wouldnt sell it, but I kept buggin him to, finally after 9 months of harrasment, i got. And it started up fine. No worries

Sounds good, thank you for the help. I'm still doing my research, but I've run out of time, hopefully I'll be in the rotary family tomorrow...happy 4th to me, and Independance from Pistons, haha!!

I was just concerned about taking it home...wondering if I would be able to go a mile or two!!

It's so nice when someone finally gives in to the car you wanted...I love my 240 to death, but I've wanted this car for atleast 6 years...

...oh yeah, I love your signature quote...I completely agree.

Most definately...hopefully it'll happen tomorrow. Right now the buyer(s) for my 240 are being tossed around, it's really really odd, and a complicated story...

I'll let all of you see what kinda condition I bought this thing in...like I said in the first post....bumper, hood, windshield, fender...yeah....atleast it has AC!!! The weather here is a PAIN...

When I get it, I'll transfer over my A'Pexi S-AFC II and my headunit...hahaha...there's no trick to tuning the fuel on a completely stock engine with the S-AFC II to prevent flooding, or gain a lil gas-mileage or torque is there? That's one thing I haven't looked into yet.
