91 A/C problem

91 A/C problem
The a/c compressor on my 91 RX7 won't engage. The switch seems to work because the idle increases when I turn it on. I checked the Freon and it's ok. I bypassed the pressure switch, no luck. I ran current directly to the clutch and it engaged. What next?
