A GOOD engine swap will take longer than that.

Its critical that you have it lined up properly, usually people dont do thier own gears, they have a shop that specializes in it do it for them. Clearences to check and what not. Its not a matter of just 'slapping in' a new ring and pinion, thats why there are shops that do it.[/quote]

Losing teeth on a ring gear sucks period, losing a ring gear @ high speed may cause many other things to become broken which really sucks. These swaps need to be done by the pro's
