yeah ok, i changed mt mind it is possible. you need to do some wierd mods to get everything to last. 1st you need a taller 5th gear, an fd one would be a start, that would only get you to 180+ though. if there is one a 3.9 rear would also help. you are also gonna need tranny + diff coolers.

as far as the body, you prolly wat to start with an 86-87 sport model, with the areo kit and no sunroof. lower it as much as possible.

engine cooling would be your next challenge, and where to put the ic

Now the real challenge would be to get that thing to pass emissions..Real emissions, like the california emissions ****'s or the bastards in Jersey.

thats is the part i dont think would be possible, you need about 400rwhp (my friends fd hit 180+ and he has 387rwhp), making 250rwhp smog legal is doable but 400? i dunno

You know, the real irony is that here we talk of

autobahns, porches and whatnot, why the birthplace of the rotor, Germany, not ONE car Co. over there has even embraced it. The Porsche would be a natural fit for the rotor don't you think?? or is there some copyright law that Mazda has for like, the next 100yrs?

to make a 200 mph fd..can be done..only if you want street questionable...start with suspension...tein or hks, or blitz. then have it caged for safty.. gut inside. engine, your choice. you can do it on a 2 rotor you should bp or pp for lots of top end..and run nothing smaller than a t78...suggest t51r kai or t88-34d thats what japanese use for there top end runs.. or you could do like this one crazy jap. guy did in option magazine in an fc...twin t66 parralles..next areo..do the under hood i/c with the air channel front end Border, or top secret japan make good kits for that..and one hell of an ecu and tuner

you can get some real good numbers with stock turbos..but just for the safty factor and the fact that it would tramatize any one that challenged hahahahah. of corse there is more that needs to be done. why take a risk at blowing something.

don't forget to get tires that won't fall apart at those speeds if you pursue it.
