i have a TII motor with a T70 with pretty nice power. NA everything behind the motor. holds up nice. and the longer gears make it nice on road. i have seen many NA drive lines hold up to plenty of power.

I agree, not as weak as people make it out to be. But def not a racing setup.

All in how you drive.

Worst case scenario is you get to eventually swap it once something does snap...

Dont forget their are two kinds of NA trans depending on the year.

Swap the T2 stuff in, the NA driveline is weak and if you have a T70 w/ an NA driveline, you must not be making the power you should be or you havent driven the car hard enough. Even FD guys pop difs and trans from time to time at the track... you mean to tell me the NA driveline is stronger than an FD's?

well, mine is a 91 NA tranny.

obviously not stronger than a FD or a TII tranny. no one has ever said that. It's just people make it seem like any power put to a NA tranny will break it. very untrue. TII is the better choice of course. but an NA will hold up for quite while until you have the money for the inflating prices of anything TII. and i like the gearing of a NA tranny also. matched with a 4.3 GTU rear i think is a match made in heaven.

swap the TII motor in and keep the NA tranny until you have the TII rear end, axles, and drive shaft.

*you'll need to swap the NA flywheel and clutch to use the NA tranny on the TII motor.

if you want to use the TII tranny now, then you'll have to buy the drive shaft for it from Mazdatrix (waste of money if your going to take it out later)

either way is ok.
