1988 RX7 N/A wont rev up. need help!
#1
hello everyone, i have a 88 rx7 non turbo. This is the situation, the car will start and idle everytime, but when i try to rev up, if i try to push it past 2000 rpm the car sputters and dies. idles a little rough also. and the bypass air control valve(bac) air hose that connects to the air intake duct has to be unhooked or it will not start. if i hook it back up while the car is started, it dies.
the bac valve is SUPPOSED to run for 17 seconds after the car is started from what ive read, then shut off. and occasionally turn on again if the car was put under load. but my bac valve is on constantly whith everything turned off on the car, even stereo and dome light.
i dont know whats going on to cause this issue, but im hoping someone has had a similar problem and knows how to fix it. thanks alot.
