Eventually the subframe will give away, and hang down allowing access to the front diff mount. You should not have the halfshafts hanging as pictured, my friend is parting this car out he doesn't care about the halfshafts. And he does not care about the diff mount, you should support the diff.

You might not spot it, but there is a little spacer piece behind the diff mount bolts, it will keep the diff mount studs in place not allowing you to remove the diff.

Now just pull the diff up and out the back. Since we were parting out my buddies car we chose not to unbolt the driveshaft while it was in the car.

Now if you plan on dropping the complete rear subframe continue.



Remove the caliper. First take off the top caliper bolt with an open end, I believe its a 14mm.

Remove the lower caliper bolt also, I recommend using a rachet. It reduces the chances of stripping this bolt a lot.

Remove the caliper and hang it up on the spring with a piece of wire.

Unbolt the struts on each side, and then just lower the rear subframe. All done.
