Do you mean drilling in through the side of the sleeve and insert and putting something in there to secure it? That sounds like a good idea. You could tap it then and put in a set screw with loctite. I'm sure that would hold good if it was the perfect length.

I imagine one could just peen the sleeves, it shouldnt be difficult to install them safely.

JB weld will hold them in forever, I can't believe someone would just stick ANY object into those sleeves without measuring the fit. Especially since that guy is a "motor builder" Its nice to hear that Ito Epoxies them in, at least somebody has a brain.

I didn't check mine yet and I really don't feel like ripping the manifolds off again.. if Pineapple says use Loctite and I did, why haven't we heard about this before? They've been selling them for years now.



Hypntyz, you basically said you just pressed them in... so you used nothing to secure them?

How do the stock ones fit and stay in? Gee, how about we make replacement sleeves that fit like OEM ones! What an idea.

Stock what?? Sleeves or inserts? You use the OEM ones with the inserts. There are no STOCK inserts and nobody that I'm aware of has ever tried to make new entire sleeves with inserts molded in... if that's what you're saying.

That kind of harsh. I know your probably perfect yourself, but why don't you cut the guy some slack. It sounds like it was a honest mistake and at least partly due to a lack of clear instruction on the part of Pinnapple. Plus you have to at least give him credit for coming forward with the info.
