it's a craftsman welder they sell at sears.. lol and I'm using flux core wire since gas is expensive and hard to get in japan.. it splatters alot and you don't want to inhale the smoke, but it's stong as ****.. The welders good for up to about 1/4", but I prefer not to use it on stuff over 1/8"



I'll be making real progress here soon if my 3k worth of **** that's all suposed to be in the mail for the last 3 weeks ever gets here.. what sucks is it's all coming from about 5 diffrent palaces

Nice work. Flux core is plenty fine. That's what angle grinders are for. Grind the welds that are too knobby and use a wire wheel to get rid of the splatter. Viola! Instant professional grade looking welding job.

I like flux core for verticals.I'm more of a hard wire welder for clean welds.Both work awesome.
