Hey spyder I haven’t talk to you in a while how have you been?

I had a ? about your sway bar. What exactly did you do for the modifying? I have been having a hard time getting up with Ted to have one made with my new schedule. So I am figuring out what to do for my 20b FC.

The Dual packs came from microtech with the stand alone.

Advice? Be good with your hands, have a good amount of cash, and take your time.

Iceblue, I took the stock one from the cosmo front clip, ground off the welds on the ends, shortened each one, and then rewelded the ends on.

This is a short post, I will fill in later all the details.

I have a 1990 and 1991 Cosmo front clips in my shop, a 1987 TII shell for the motor and a microtech lt12 on the way. The TII is gutted, the wiring is being simplifyed, and the 20b's are soaking in MMO to get rid of that damn carbon.

Heres a handful of questions:

Is a Koyo aluminum radiator going to be enough?

Koyo Rad will not work, you will need a crossflow 25x18 aluminum no more than a 27x19 36mm single row, mine stays within 180-185f enven under hard acceleration, you will definitely need a high flow oil cooler like an earls, the stock one will not cool your 20B since it will restrict the flow, and you could damage the bearings.

Does anyone have pictures of 20b FC3S engine mounts? Im fabing my own but would like some idea of what I am working towards.

These need to be made out solid, either aluminum or steel and you will need to lwer them it you dont want hood clearance problems, use the FD water pump setup it flows well and the pump can be purchased locally, get your self a TurboII hood it will give you some extra clearance without having to butcher it. Be patient and get the right height on your mounts, the oil pan does not need to be changed but it will be very close to the steering rack, this is why they need to be solid.

How have you guys handled the motor sitting so far away from the firewall and close to the stock rad location? (My Solution is removing the stock rad mounts, fabing my own, and a electric fan. I dont want to move the tranny/ shorten the driveshaft, I would need a new oil pan.)

Yes you will need to move the ac condenser and set the radiator in this location.

Im using a modifyed cosmo sway bar, anyone else doing that? Seems to work just fine.

The stock sway bar will work just fine, I am using it in my FC with special aluminum bushings that I made, the car handles great.

Ill get some more info, pics, and questions up later.

Think you could take a pic of the IC piping behind the pass. side head light area. I'd like to see what you did back there.
