I tried the cut and weld thing today, but before I could weld, it looks like the port mismatch will be a little too much. Oh well, now I get to weigh the costs and engine performance of the other stock UIM, LIM and TB (EFI) vs an Atkins manifold and a carb.

I'm currently leaning toward the the Atkins manifold.

Since I still can't afford it, I'm going to try an idea from last year. I'll let you all know how it goes. It'll probably take a week or two to get it ready to run (exhaust etc).

Let's just call it option 5.

Option 5 probably won't work.

Option 5 wouldn't work very well afterall. Looks like I'm back to saving up for the Atkins manifold.

It's funny. Not having the money for the Atkins manifold is actually costing me more in down time and experiments. I want to drive it already.

Thinking about it some more, for the amount that I've spent and going to spend on failed intake experiments and the Atkins manifold, I would have had enough to go FI.

All that I need right now to get this 20B running is the manifold itself and an exhaust system (gonna fab it soon). It seems a little too late to go FI at this point. Then again, I'm so busy working on the oil system that I haven't thought about intake stuff for a while.

Hey, if you're trying to figure out a new intake system, do you have the stock intake manifold and TB for sale?
