what would be the mpg on a 20b not boosting. I know there are alot of factors involved but lets think relativly. Like a v8 is about in the 20s. Same question for 13b while on the subject.

If I had to guess I'd say 14-19mpg, my semi untuned 13bt gets 15-17 driving to work and back with at least one good run up the gears in the boost per trip.

I've herd people getting mid 20's with the closed loop hooked up. I hope to be near that when I get mine dialed in.

 

I'm guessing if you can afford the swap you can afford the gas. I would estimate somwhere around 12mpg though. My ported engine sees 14 just about

 

Bit like the price of a Bentley....if you have to ask, you can't afford it!



I get 300k from 50l so about 18mpg tooling around town, more on open roads. Bit of enthusiasm sees 12-15mpg, events see sub 10mpg!

 

yah 20b is not the engine to get if you care about mileage

 

To be fair I don't have my closed loop hoked up either, so that might help
