Fuel cell was needed.......... Nothing off the shelf was the right shape so set about building my own... The only thing i don't have a pic of in the inside of the tank with the baffles... You get the idea. Will eventually be running twin external pumps as the tank has built in 1.75ltr pot underneither.

Floor mods... was one heavy peice of metal

I modified the engine mounts on the Hinsdon subframe to move the motor back as far as the stock bulk head would allow

Before

After

Other bits got a tweek, Took 2" off the high of the stock inlent manifold. This simply allow the bonnet to close. Stock fuel line got -6 fittings as they are plenty large enough inside for fuel flow. Unfinshed Pics of the porting.

Stock port on the right.

This was how the car sat then for a long time.

Few more tweeks where done eventually, with the fuel cell in the boot there was alot of space to have some fun with the exhaust. But first the diffuser.

Now the pipes,

mid pipe. I don't usually use the Magna flow boxs but i had it left over from another job so why the hell not.

Rear mufflers

Right now there is an issue with have an array of saws and cutting tools in a workshop. I was sitting on the floor of the workshop crossleged with a cup of tea. Front bumper off the car and a template for an intercooler and rad set up that i wanted to use. Next to me an air saw, 6" cut off wheel and battary resipricating saw. Sat there i was thing. That engine needs a dry sump. Then the engine could come down abot 3". Then i thougth well if its comming down it may aswell go back....

OOPS!

Few more accessaries i came across:

Some Mazdaspeed LeMans. These are 2peice splits. I have spoken to image wheels who but all accounts can indeed step them from 17-18" and from 8J ft and 9J rr to 10J front and 12J rear. Thats for the wide body thats pending.

Also got a more aero based wing. Could do with being wider but i'll sort that out after the widening,

This at the moment is how the car sits. I'm currently knocking ideas around on the old computer on designs. Thinking something Super GT inspired. We'll see.

Now very little have i done to this recently as i have been comming up with ideas and veiws on how i want this to progress:

Turbo placement will now sit in front of the engine pretty much over the top of the front wheels due to the dustance the engine has been moved back. I'll be changing the T6 turbine hosing for a 1.15 or 1.28 A/R turbine housing. More room less wieght and lots of puff, pictured here with the T6 housing still and part of the 3.5" down pipe.

Now much of the car will be tube frmaed once the blk of the cage goes in in a month or two once i have some more room in the workshop. But in an effort to give myself a hge head ache and do something different:

OH cut the prop!

Well its never a bad thing when one of these boxes turns up

New turbine housing for the GT42. The current one is a HUGE T6 but only has 1.1 A/R.... New one is a samller T4 housing BUT has larges 1.28 A/R so a much better fit to my specs.... Also the outlet on the T4 is more suited to my set up being 3.5" HAppy days

New one on the left and old on the right, also turbo with the 1.28A/R on.... Manifold time i think.

Some long awaited bits for the exhaust. Lots to do and a few very late nights are on the horizon i think! Building 2" nominal bore manifold 3 into 1 21"-23" long primaries into the T4 turbo flange. The reason on such long primaries is to make more peak power. There is so much exhaust energy form a 20B triple rotor its more than likely that the mid power band will be uneffected. The new turbo housing has a 3.5" outlet so the exhaust system will be matched to this running down the car and be split into dual 3" for the side exit systems. There are a couple of reasons for doing this...... 1 because i want too and i can and 2 with not exhaust system fowling anything at the very rear of the car the diffuser can run all the way from the rear subframe totoally uninterupted which will make for far better aero. So that covers that i think. II wont be really getting on this for a while but here are some pics. The area where the muffler are in the car will be cut out and the floor remodeled to accomidate!

V-band welded on to the pipe work.

Attached to the section i did before

Turbo in place with down pipe,

Few bits on the mufflers and floor pan,
