Thankyou all for the help!

Mr. Mike your Pic's explained what I needed know. Yes the (Keyway is in the 9:00 as I expected it should be to be at TDC). I tried looking into the Lead Spark Hole but got lost considering ya's gots 3 surfaces to confuse me. I must be dumb or something????

Anyhew: Gonna do the 9:00 key thingie and install the Holley today.

Got stuck working on the Durango yesterday. Don't ever try to change the Spark Plugs in one of these stupid boinger pieces of ****. Took me 4 hrs to do it. You have to remove the fuel injection and everything else attached to the top of the motor just to get to them.

I'll never curse at my RX again. 5 mins Plugs are out.

Thanks again

steve

Nope not yet;

I had to work on my other RX i.e. 80 over the weekend so it could be outa here for $100us.

Finaly I have the hole garage the 84GSL and don't have to swear at the 80 for always being in the way. It would have cost me about $5,000 to restore it and I would rather use the money for my other toy.

But the good news is that the intake,carb,New Pulleys will installed this weekend.

Hey Drifter and the rest of you Australians, are you ready for winter?

Here in Oregon its still raining alot as usual and are ready for the Sun to come out!!!!!

See Ya's

Yeah, I hope you get her fixed and running soon.

The shitty weather is starting to come in now, its a damn shame I've had to move my cars out of the garage. The only thing now between them and the elements are a tarp.

Hey Everybody;

Well the 84 and I had a 12 hr date Sat and I think she came at least 6 times. WaHoo!!!

I tried using a 265 rated Impact Wrench on her and could not remove the Pulley. Gave up on that one and went for the 4ft breaker bar and a Beer. Worked great.

You differently have to use a very small screwdriver or scriber to keep the Keyway in place before you remove the old pulley. Now I see way there is so much info on this project.

Just for the hell of it I tried it first on a blown engine that I gots sittin around and sure enough when I pulled the pulley off, the key came out with it. Sooo reading a little sure pays off.

I installed the Racing Beat Double Sleave Pulley on her at 90lbs torque, checked the clearence and all is well within Spec's.

Had to get a smaller belts though???

Decided to drain the antifreeze and flush the system. Damn only 500 miles on the stuff, so that I could change the RB Intake system. Figured may as well start from scratch again!!!

Everthing is ready to go today when it takes me about 15 mins to put the Carbie back on.

Fingers crossed i.e fires right up and goes for a 140mph test run.

Ok: Rotor Heads; Gots one ? for ya's. First of all, anyone have any experience with the RB Main Drive Pulley Set-UP?

Looking at the front of the engine the Pulley has 4 marks on it.

Starting from Left to Right.

1st Mark= 10%ATDC

2nd Mark= 0%

3rd Mark= 10%BTC

4th Mark= 20%BTC

Sooo what mark am I supposed to be at before I align the Talley & Dimple on the Disti before I drop it in. The typical lack of info that came with the pulley gives no reference to this one at all.

Sorry to be so winnded but had nothing better to do until first light.

Thanks all & Happy Easter

steve
