I went to crank my car and it acted like the engine wouldn't turnover on it own.I have a new starter and battery but my battery needs a good highway run to get a better charge.Does it not turnover because the battery doesn't have a strong enough charge from it sitting a few weeks(3-4)I can manually spin my engine no problem.Help!

Thanx

Push starting it shouldn't have anything to do with the starter, go ahead and push start it. If the starter is engaged when youa re push starting it then it is junk anyhow....

I would guess if it is a brand new battery you just had a surface charged and it died while sitting.

Yeah it did die and now I think it needs a good run down the highway.I think that might be it's problem. No electrical problems I have double checked everything since I brought it out to play last.Does the engine lose any oil pressure from sitting.Mine somedays acts like it has no pressure when I go to start it.But once its running it runs strong.

In what way does it act like it has no pressure? The guage doesn't move? No sitting shouldn't cause a lack of oil pressure for more than a few seconds.

The engine does seem to spin to freely on start-up but when it's running no problems at all.My 12a was a bit different that way.Me be just me with a different engine tho.Haven't gotten use to the power yet.
