I went to crank my car and it acted like the engine wouldn't turnover on it own.I have a new starter and battery but my battery needs a good highway run to get a better charge.Does it not turnover because the battery doesn't have a strong enough charge from it sitting a few weeks(3-4)I can manually spin my engine no problem.Help!
Thanx |
I also forgot to mention that I hate bomb starting a Rx7 with a new starter. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif

Does anything electrical work?

Push starting it shouldn't have anything to do with the starter, go ahead and push start it. If the starter is engaged when youa re push starting it then it is junk anyhow.... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

I would guess if it is a brand new battery you just had a surface charged and it died while sitting.

In what way does it act like it has no pressure? The guage doesn't move? No sitting shouldn't cause a lack of oil pressure for more than a few seconds.
