The mariah site tells you how wide to run to look right with it.Remember you'll need that much more hp to push it around at speed.Thats why I think its still in the air about the CP kit. Try mariahs site and see what they recomend the site is listed in the site thread thats pinned at the top.

i want a body kit on my 85 gsl se but i dont want to lose power i want to lose weight and add style and power do you guys know any kits
|
I'm thinking of the Mazdatrix/Erebuni kit myself.I think its the best looking one on the FB body other than the Japanese ARF kits.Heres Viperx7 car with the kit I want on it.Notice the shaved sidemarkers. My 83 is in the middle of shaving them and the badges as well.I can wait to do it to the 82 after I get that thing running. He modified the front to accept round fogs which I think look way better than the square ones.

If your looking at just the front Bumper I would look at the mariah mode four front.Looks awesome.

I have to add my two cents worth and say that I like the Kaminari kit better. You can see it here. I like the looks of the widebody kits, but over time the body kits don't seem to age as well as just a simple body kit. Plus, for street performance, they seem counter-productive except for looks.
|
Kaminari was one I was considering too.But I changed my mind on the stock body lines.I hear the fit is awesome tho.Heres the pics of it.

Yeah easier and cheaper because they dont have to pull them off to paint it.Can't wait till I finish it. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif

I wanna get a spirit R badge for the front and take off the front mazda badge. I'll recolor the side badges and I'm not sure if I'll get rid of the rear badge yet... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

I shaved the antenna, badges and side markers on the 83.The 82 will get the same treatment but will prolly have a roof mount antenna instead.
|
https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif oh yeah...antenna....hadn't thought about that either...hmm. I don't listen to the radio, I've always got CD's on, so I prolly dont need one at all. maybe while I'm welding in the roof repairs I can fit a little one to the roof.
|
Yeah I hate the stock antenna location.Reminds me to much of a RC car. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

My antenna idea is to get the one that GM is using for their On-Star system.
it is @ 3" tall, has a wide base that tapers up to the tip. it also has a spiral cut into it. I think it would look good dead center on the roof. |
Center? As in forward center? what about the removable sunroof?
|
Yup just in front of it!!

I would try to mount it thier or just behind the roof.Depends on the style of antenna you get.

I like the Ford focus antenna or the new VW's one.
|
