Well it is now time for some wheels I wamted to go bigger but not to big. So I ended up getting Motigi gun metal mr7's 15-6.5. The recomend 205/50/15's, my question is can I go wider? How wide can you go befor you hit the springs up front? I've seen an 85 GSL SE with 205/60/15. Anybody have any experiance with 215/50/15?

Don't know about 215's, but I use 205/50/15's all the way around with no problems. I actually knew a guy that had either 235 or 245/50/15's in the back. No body kit. I think the rear fenders were pulled a little bit but other than that no problems. Wouldn't believed it if I hadn't seen it.

My front fenders ahve this little triangular piece of rubber , i couldnt figure out what its for. It seems that it would be rubbing my tires when they go under the wheel well... can i just snip this bit or dont worry about it?

i have 16x7 rims, and 205/40/16 tires. i'm thinking 215 tires next round.

What types of tires should i get? Primarily street driving, some drags.

well, if you have 6.5" wide wheels, I wouldn't go much wider. 215 should work fine, 225 depends on the tire (some will fold over, some won't), but any bigger than that and you're probably going to start to lose performance.

I have 205's all round and I get some mad rub on the fronts if I corner to sharp. A fair bit of rubber is missing from the inside wall of the tire from doing donuts.
