Drifter: I thought you had a 13BT to swap in yours after the restoration?I have a 45 DCOE and have some flooding problems with mine right now.Nice carbs tho.
Yeah I have 2 rx7's remember.

The plan is ...

1) Series 3 with 13BT swap

2) Series 2 with 12A BP

i wouldnt go with a 48 unless your going for a MONSTER bridge port. a 45 is more than enugh for a 12a. hell, even on a stock port 13b you only need 38 mm venturis! but, thats only from my experiece!

i have a yaw carb on an unported '85 12a and i am currently modding a brand new (!) unused '92 vintage Dell'orto 48DHLA

for rotary use. I do not plan on using it on a 12a. I will either find an 'SE motor or just grab a 2nd gen block. Anyhow has anyone here used webber and dell'orto setups? What was your impression of the two setups? jeez it sucks truing to find certain dell'orto parts...

I've had both.I need to finish the weber up on it now tho.The dellorto kicks *** in the top end but was boggy in the low end.It needed a street port to work with such a big carb.

Well, put my new carb on (weber 45 DCOE). Started it, and all it would do was crank. Used the deflood method, cleaned the spark plugs and gave it throttle while cranking. Started right up with some smoke at first but went away and held a nice idle. Had to play with the idle speed screw and found a nice idle. So far so good. The only problem is that the linkage rod has nowhere to go on the carb. Guess its time to fab my own.

I know that feeling.I fabbed both linkages myself.Never had any when I got it.A problem with the weber stock linkages is that they are known to break because how thin they are.
