I have a Weber 48 IDF on top of a Racing beat manifold that I want to install on my 12a.I have not done any porting(yet) on the engine for it only has 120,000 kms. runs really strong, & is only driven from May -Oct.I want to install this myself...BUT...(1) Is it too much carb for the motor until it's ported ? (2)What is a good starting point for jetting ? (3) Is it going to be too much work for myself ? (4) Should I just get my mechanic to do the work & pay, pay, pay ?Thanks F1Ernie

it shouldnt be too hard to put on and the carbs not too big if you can find a smaller venturi size (36-40ish).

My friend has used a 48 IDF on his bridgeport AND stockport. Was quite amazing on both, so I don't believe it would be too big for a stock 12a. Porting would bring out its real potential though.
