I'm looking at an RX7, forgot the year though.... I now its either fb or fc though. non turbo.... I'm most think first gen though, (unless first gens didnt have 13B's) thats why I posted here.

It has an automatic transmission. The guy says he thinks they burned it up becuase it drives slowly.

I wondering, is there something else that could cause this? Like could low fluid level? or something much more simple than a swap or rebuild.

And, if the trans is bad, where would I get a rebuild kit, or could get it rebuild in middle tennesse?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Ask in the 2nd gen section because no 1st gens with 13Bs had automatics.

I think I speak for all of us when I say you do not want to drive an automatic FB.

you prob dont want to drive an auto fc! if its just going really slow its prob the engine and not the tranny. check the compression.

And I dont think anyone would get the rebuild right the first time, sounds like a money pit, if your going to sink money get a stick. if your already in it, drive it for a little while and pay attention to any smells, that will help determine whats wrong.

I thank you everyone for your ideas..... I have to admit however, fool that I am.... it really was an fc. I looked at it again and it was so obvious to me then.
