Some guy is selling a targa top he took off a gsl-se, and i emailed him about it and he said it should just fit right up on my 85 gs with minimum work. is that realistic or what?

 

I'm betting the "targa" top is the stock Mazda metal cover that goes over the top of the car and says targa on it. It should bolt right up, but a "targa top" it ain't. You'd have to do some pretty drastic custom work to make it a true targa top.
