Is there any parts that can be swaped to a 84 gs that are better. I already put a gsl rear and tranny in it. does any other 1st gen have better suspension parts or brake parts

the gsl-se has bigger brakes, but its a lot more work than its worth.

Most of the 1st gen stuff is pretty much the same, except for the SE. You are basically gonna have to go with aftermarket products. Get polyeurathane(sp?) bushings throughout and you will be surprised. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Are you sure it's more work than it's worth?I was thinking about swapping SE brakes in to mine for a more common bolt pattern. Then you can get any wheel size you want.I want 16's on mine or 17's but you need the SE pattern to buy new rims.

The work is considerable. You have to change the complete suspension. The front struts and all. If I'm not mistaken, you also have to use the SE brake booster also. I have been told that it's different from the non-SE booster. Not real positive on that though.

yea I dont know if I want to go through all that. I think I am going with Tokico hp's and Rb springs and sway bars, also polyurathane bushings. I already have hp's in the rear and the aftermarket end links when I did my rear swap. for the brakes I am using hawk pads and ss brake lines https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

Oh boy I'll have fun then.I want a more common pattern and don't feel like trying a five lug conversion.

the gsl and gsl-se brake master and boosters are the same, but you still have to swap struts in the front, and the rear rotors, axles, backing plates, and calipers. the actual axle housing is the same as a gsl
