omg That sucks. A lot. I'll keep a look out on ebay for parts, hopefully the cops or you will find it soon... bastards. Why couldn't they have stolen something that was easily replaced?

just on the bright side, you could write a country song ( gotta include a dog somewhere) and you might make some money off this.

LOL

WHAT!!! You found someone that will steal a car that won't run?!?! When you find him, post his phone number!

Just kidding, my car was stolen last year. Recovered same day, though.

Yeah... for most of the summer when I would go work on the car I would just leave the doors unlocked. One day mum comes out and says "Chum, you're gonna lock the car up when you're done right"

to which I replied

"Mom... With another 3 thousand dollars and two months of work, *I* couldn't get this car to move. If someone manages to steal it, they deserve it! I mean seriously, first they'd have to plan it out:

Thief one (to Thief two): "Dude, we're gonna steal Jon's car... we need brakes, suspension, a carb, a new gas tank, and a bunch of tools.. yeah.. then we'll sneak in the middle of the night, drag his parent's cars out of the way, do the work, and get the hell outta there!"

Thief two: umm.. okay.. I've got 3g to spare, and I'll bring a lift, we'll need one"

RotorMotorDriver:

I've followed your posts on the other forum, surprised about your luck. Are you shitting us?

If it was stolen, I would look to someone on the board, like mentioned before. No local guy would know what lies under the hood of that beast

Where was your car? Was it at a garage or dealership? I would think they would incur some kind of liability for that.

It was on the side of the road cause the engine lost compression on the 1st around mignight. I went back to get it on the 3rd in the afternoon and it was gone.

However, we went on a hunt of sorts for it, and talked to some people fishing at a near by pond. They said they saw two guys working on it from about 2:30 am to 6:30 (brave little *******...) and they eventually just used a small red car to tow it away with, similar to a Geo metro.

They obviously had gotten inside somehow because I found a marker that was in my center console outside on the ground, so I assume they just took it outta gear and the brake off from the inside to tow it.
