I'm kinda new to nopistons, as i havent posted many topics. For the most part i've been reading about the engine swaps but i dont understand everything that is exactly being said. I have a 1982 RX-7 with a Mariah Mode One Wide Body kit along with it being used in the IMSA/GTU manufacturers championship of 80-81 and it was also a ISCA show car, but i have yet to touch the engine. I just incountered an accident and im desperatly searching for a new from airdam piece for the car as i have completely torn it off.

Ive been reading a lot of forums and surfing the net a lot lately looking for mods for my car. But with little luck im finding that everything is usually for the 2nd and 3rd gen cars. Would an engine swap from a 12a to a 13bt or maybe a 12at be that difficult and costly. Money really isnt the issue as i have nothing else to spend it on. If anyone can help me i would really appreciate it. Also another thing is that my rear tires are a 285/40/15 and i was wondering if anyone knew of a company that might hold a tire really close to this size. I was thinking of going a 275/30/16 but im afraid that the rubber will be possible to low pro.

Any suggestions or opinions of what i can do to increase the power of my car would be greatly appreciated...thanks a lot

Sounds like a sweet car.You got any pics of it?The air dam you should still be able to get directly from Mariah Motorsports. You must have some serious offset wheels to fit that huge tire in it.I have 235/55/ZR15's on the rear and they are almost against my tokikos. As for the engine swap if your car is a 12a car still then the easiest way to drop a 13BT in it is with a rotaryshack blowthru weber setup.I hear robert is slow on his shipping but it makes the swap a no wiring hassel. Just got to keep the dizzy,Front cover and oil pan.Iotus here has that swap on his SE.

Heres a pic of the car. Im getting ready to install my new stereo deck, and the front end should be ordered by tomorrow. Anymore opinions or helpful thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Here are some of my previous threads...they should help you out a lot.

And if you have any questions I will definitely try my best to answer them. I know Setzep and DirectFreak aren't on here as much as I am, but they do know more than me!

EDIT: As for the price, it really depends on what you have and what you need to get. My Cosmo 13b motor and S4 TII tranny ran me $2200 alone. I had/have to source a GSL-SE LSD, GSL-SE oil cooler, NPR intercooler, and I also had to upgrade my car's suspension. Also, the price can increase a lot if you want to run EFI with a Haltech and/or use a nice turbo.

It all adds up!
