Uh, yeah. Turbo.

Are my posts not showing up for you guys? I'm trying to tell you. For the same price as "rebuilding" the car, you could do a full J-Spec turbo swap for 250-300 rwhp which would be formidable against 3rd gens.

My first race i beat a 3rd gen by several car lenghts, tho we both had bad runs.

Please go back and re=read EVERY ONE OF MY POSTS.

My setup $2700, INCLUDES A NEW MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION. its called "j-spec", you buy the engines with low mileage on them imported over from japan.

True, yes, you can do that. The thing is, you do not know the actual mileage on those j-spec engines, nor do you have any idea how they were treated, or any idea how long they will last. They might go for twenty years and you'd be laughing. Or they might blow up in a month (ask vosko!) and you'd be hurting - especially if you're a kid who's just spent his last dime on the conversion. I think shano will be better served by rebuilding what he has - he will 1) be able to be confident his motor will last a good long time and 2) learn much more about the rotary that way.

But he'll have to calculate risk/reward for himself on this choice.

Cheers

J

Thats true, i rather just fix it up to stock, then add from there.. I rather just get alot of minor mods then eventually just add a turbo. i kinda want it to be a sleeper with rims..
