Default Renesis transmission in 84 FB

planning on doing a renesis swap (engine and trans) into my 84 gsl. i've done quite a deal of researching but haven't found a couple things. I've read that the shift boot will not match up, but have not been able to find exactly how much it is off. I've also read about the whole predicament of the renesis trans being electronic as opposed to cable driven. There is supposedly a unit you can buy to convert the electronic readings so that the cable will still make everything on the old gauge cluster work. I am unsure if this will still send the engine and trans into "limp" mode. Like I said, i've done a great deal of researching but unfortunately there isn't much documentation on certain parts of this swap.

so my questions are

1. how "off" is the shift **** position from where it normally is on a stock 12a trans

2. will this box fix all the "limp" mode nonsense

and 3. would it just be better for me to get a TII trans or any other trans with the cable driven speedo and without all electronic feedback necessary for it to run.

thanks in advance for any help guys.

Stick with the T11 box they work well and easier to fit
