sweet!
OH yea 100 posts!!! Anyway thanks for the support everyone, its been a real event getting this car back together and running right. Of course I have more questions, so here we go!! Now that i am doing the ida 48 and I already have the full Racingbeat exhaust, I am in the process of polishing the intake manifold ( I will have pics soon for that), Got the egt system to tune the car, got the lighter flywheel, underdriving all the assesories, running dldfis, stainless steel everything, 2nd gen alternator, heat shield for the header, Biulding a cold airbox for the weber, got the relocation bracket (pineapple racing) for the alternator to move the weight down, got a 5-speed in the car, and Rob's massaged the ports on the 12a (for better flow), is there anything I can do without turbo and/or more porting and/or NOS to this car to squeeze more power out of it? I think I have offically reached this motors non-extented port limits, do you all agree? Or am I missing something?

Drum roll please!! Thats right the carb is here!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, I have been waiting for this for so long. she has 38 mm ventries and is pre tuned so that i can fine tune it on my own. I also got the egt kit from pineapple(gauge is in the pic). And the alternator relocation kit is on its way. This is a great day, I am coming to the end of the "rebirth of my 78." When the engine is done i can offically say I am at the point to where I can start to have fun driving instead of having fun "fixing." This means that I will be going for track days and auto x... ah good times, goooood times

Congrats. That carb looks hot.I still like my DCOE but I always liked the looks of a downdraft setup on these motors.I need to order some smaller idle jets for Racetep.com one day so I can lean out the idle on mine.Let us know how she runs when its put back together.Nice to see another rotory getting some much needed attention.

[attachment=41338:attachment] [attachment=41339:attachment] [attachment=41340:attachment] [attachment=41341:attachment] Here is the update I am sure everyone who has been paying attention to this thread has been waiting for. I got the 2ng gen alt. in and am still waiting on the relocation bracket. As for the dldfis, I got sick of it and it blowing up my igniters (didn't read about that happening) so i went back to the electronic dizzy.... Soon I will have the ida 48mm tuned and the new fuel pump in and beware hondas hahahahaha

She runs alright, i guess. However the motor hickups real bad at about 3~4k. I think its due to being untuned... Also the fuel regulator I have doesn't have a return line so i have to get another one with a return hole before i can put in the new fuel pump. Or does anyone know how to do a return line off the weber? also I am going to do a cold air induction for the car... NO video yet. She isn't even close to ready. But i have a dyno day coming up so I got to get her ready real soon.

figured i would use a t fitting for the return line. As for the car running I found out the hard way that tuning this B**** is got to be done by someone who knows what the hell they are doing because I haven't a clue. Anyone got an idea how to tune this thing? Any help would be awesome.
