Rearends And Gear Ratios
#1
if any one has any info it would be greatly appreciated.
i have a 75 toyota corolla with a 12a and tranny from a 84 rx7 i put in a chevy s10 blazer rearend in it but the stock s10 gears were too rough on the tranny it was tough to get the car moving off the line unless in high rpm i also blew the tranny on the first long ride with it
i am going to put in an lsd in it and change the gears in it since i can find the parts easy er now
my question is does any one know what ring and pinion gears i should use
given the fact that it is a heavy rear end over all i am also running 17" wheels
engine is stock with a holly 650 and 3 coil ignition
i want to be able to break the tires loose and get the car going side ways but also not have the car too reved out on 5th on long trips
thanks again for any help

stock on the 12a was 3.9. a 4.1 would be nice came on GSLSEs. 4.3 might be a lil too much for what youre looking for.
check the table at the bottom of the page for a tad more info.
