<_< Has anyone heard of or seen any Rack & pinion conversions on a first gen? I love my 85, but I also have a Protege 5 and love the rack & pinion.

Never seen one done, it'd cost a mint.

If you don't have power steering and you want quicker response you can get a power steering steering box and replace the non PS box with it. You have to fill it with PS fluid and route the lines back into themselves. Much faster.

I have made and are selling rack and pinion conversion kits for the 1st gen RX7. To see more go to RX7 Club.com in the 1st gen section under

rack and pinion results by "guru" my business partner.
