<_< Has anyone heard of or seen any Rack & pinion conversions on a first gen? I love my 85, but I also have a Protege 5 and love the rack & pinion.

Forget it dude, very hard to do.

Never seen one done, it'd cost a mint.
If you don't have power steering and you want quicker response you can get a power steering steering box and replace the non PS box with it. You have to fill it with PS fluid and route the lines back into themselves. Much faster. |
I have made and are selling rack and pinion conversion kits for the 1st gen RX7. To see more go to RX7 Club.com in the 1st gen section under
