The fuel injection had a wax pellet type of cold idle control. (An "idle up" apparatus)
The idle was controlled by heating and expanding the wax to push against a cam which lowered the idle as the car warmed up. The heat was provided by the two 3/8" heater hoses. the instructions are asking you to (after removing the injection) complete the path of coolant flow minus the idle up stuff.(reference Haynes pg. 277 fig. 13.110) if you just "capped" the nipples instead of using the hose, that should work too. Don't sweat it. Raul |
OK,Thanks Raul.Just thought I should double check.I never had problems before and I read that and freaked because mine has sat like this for a year now.
