What about the throttle linkage? What view did you need? My page has some views of it. http://www.geocities.com/rxracer2002/Rx-racer1.html if that doesn't help post it here.I'll keep a eye for you tommorow morning.I can grab some shots of it from any angle you need.I built a custom cable bracket because I heard the stock one was prone to bending.I want to sell mine but too many people stick to the EFI setup on thier cars.I want the holley setup but I have a hole "other" agenda so I'm not worried.Carb works awesome.

Racer X 03-05-2003 01:39 AM

I forgot to mention.Spoolin also has a DHLA 48 like mine on a 12a if that helps you some.Mine is on a -SE 13b 6port.

llomcc 03-05-2003 08:01 PM

Thanks for the reply, I need a close up of the oil metering oil and linkage connection.

I saw your photo's but was not able to see what I was looking for.

thanks again for your time on this.

oil metering. i used the oil metering locations on the engine and LIM. i know the dell has 2 on top, but i used a stock OMP with stock tubing. it seems to work fine, but i havent driven the car under load yet.

llomcc 03-05-2003 09:27 PM

Only the racing beat dell's had the oil metering modification and that is what I'm trying to determine with detailed photo's of that part of the carb.

best regards

I bent my 13B 6 ports rod right at the hole for it on the throttle linkage. Then used a pair of washers and cotter pins to hole it to the linkage.I'll try to get a pic tommorow. Its under 3 inches of snow right now. Those nipples on top go to the Distributer for the vaccum. They only work right one way so you'll know if its on it right.I was going to use the OMP rod off the stock 12a I had but it was 3 inches too short and the SE one was too long so I bent it accordingly and cut off the excess metal.Works good.I'll try for a pic tommorow.

Smog fighter:I have no clue what those are for.I just no that the engine runs fine the way it sits and I just leave it alone.

Racer X 03-06-2003 11:57 PM

I used to have my choke hooked up to the barrel adjuster in the red tho.Just left it off this time seeing as it is a summer car for now.

Smog Fighter 03-07-2003 12:26 AM

cool, I'd never seen a dellorto before.

reacer, where are these hoses attached to?? i have them currently to each othhr cause i thought they were for the OMP. but yours seem to go to the distributor. is that how yours is set up. the one directfreak posted seems to have the OMP attached to them.

thanks

Racer X 03-07-2003 11:42 PM

Mine are attached directly to the distributer.I guess you could tee off one of them and use it for the OMP

I never did this instead I blocked off both passages. Will this affect the engines performance that much?

8. Connect the long 3/8" diameter hose which is connected to the back of the water pump housing to the 3/8" tube extending up form the rear housing. The routing of this hose is very important, since it must clear the throttle linkage. Check for clearance at full throttle as you perform the next step.

Anyone????Does that rear housing hoes need to be hooked up or what?

Smog Fighter 03-11-2003 12:50 AM

The fuel injection had a wax pellet type of cold idle control. (An "idle up" apparatus)

The idle was controlled by heating and expanding the wax to push against a cam

which lowered the idle as the car warmed up. The heat was provided by the two

3/8" heater hoses.

the instructions are asking you to (after removing the injection) complete the path

of coolant flow minus the idle up stuff.(reference Haynes pg. 277 fig. 13.110)

if you just "capped" the nipples instead of using the hose, that should work too.

Don't sweat it.

OK,Thanks Raul.Just thought I should double check.I never had problems before and I read that and freaked because mine has sat like this for a year now.
