I've already removed the belt. Does it require plumbing? Or can i just rip out bolts and hoses?

Theres a few things to do. (i posted this exact same thread a few months ago)

First think whether you want to keep it to put back in later when/if you go to sell.

If not you can cut the hoses, release any presssure first though by the valves on the top of the compressor unit.

unbolt the compressor, then remove its bracket, then take out the condensor and other **** from in front of the radiator, then theres a couple of thins you can do with the a/c box in the inside of the car. You can gut it like i did, get a non a/c car and take the connector part from that, or you can leave it alone and plug the connections through the firewall..

This pic is from after everything was removed apart from the hoses through the firewall.

You can plug these if you decide to leave the a/c box inside the car.

I have a different ac than that, i dont have the nd one, i got this other one where the line runs from the ac compressor, back along the firewall, across the tranny and heater hoses and thru the firewall by the carb. I heard from one of my friends that you can turn ur ac compressor into a homemade "supercharger". It sounds like a nice concept? Mike? any thoughts on that? Thx guys

My car is Aus, so that might be why its different, but in theory, its all the same.

Homemade supercharger out of a a/c?? Sounds like bs and/or dodgy to me. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png

The volume of air required to pass through the motor is greater than the volume

air that can pass through a compressor.

In other words, it would be restrictive to put it in the air flow of your motor.
