Wiring for coils/battery.
Is the white/red the positive battery wire? [attachment=29055:attachment] Power source for coils, right? [attachment=29056:attachment] |

Yeah I'm running premix. 89Rag was helping me, we both determined the White/Red to be the battery positive wire. I had planned on hooking my laptop up to the Haltech today but I kinda ran out of time. Maybe tomorrow.
The battery is in place and all the leads terminated. The turbo/mani/dp is all bolted and secured. My wideband is attached as well as my EGT. I need to make sure the starter is wired correctly and then figure out the alternator and maybe I can start it! I do need to go back to NOPI though. I picked up an ignition wire kit (MSD) for an FD and they are not long enough! Here are pics for the alternator connection...I think anyway. IIRC and if I can read the wiring diagram right, one of these connectors is where the stock alternator hooked in place. [attachment=29060:attachment] [attachment=29061:attachment] According to this site, I should hook the white/black wire coming from the new alternator to the black/white wire in the engine harness. The white/blue wire should be connected to a constant power source. Does this sound correct to anyone else? Could I just run my own wire to the positive terminal on the battery using a 30 amp fuse? |
How come you're not using a different waterpump/neck?
That way it can bolt up and line up like stock. |

For the water pump neck, you could simply cut the elbow off, rotate it 180 degrees, and weld it back together
