Hi i have a S1 with a series 3 carbi and i got an exhaust system and it was running great except i noticed a small problem that when u go to take off it was rev up fine but as soon as clutch was let out it lost almost all power. Only way to take off is give it heaps of revs. When u get going it has a surge feeling when cruising (not much load put on the engine and doing about 2500rpm. The strange thing is is that if you put your foot about 3/4 to 100% to the floor it accelerates awsomely. It just can hold a cruising state.

Does anyone have any idead what it is?

It can't be:

Plugs, Leads, Coils, Air Filter, Exhaust, Clutch

I am pretty sure it is something with the carbi. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks very much.

Sounds like my 12a when my rear rotor died out.Do a compression test on the engine.I think you might have low compression in either the front or rear rotor.
