mandrel bending matters more for the exhaust than the intercooler

actually it doesnt matter for the intercooler at all, cuz once it gets to the core, the air slows down a lot anyways
... what do you think happens to the air after it's through the intercooler and funneled back into that 2-3" diameter pipe?

i've got a small npr intercooler, i'm havin trouble figuring out how i'm gonna do my piping. a buddy of mine borrowed one of those hydraulic benders from work so he could bend some exhaust pipes for me. unfortunately the exhaust pipe he got for me had too thin a wall thickness and just crimped the stuff.

lesson is if you're gonna do your own piping, make sure you get some thick piping!!

$85 for shipping and handling?

are they super heavy or something?

Yes! Lol, a pipe bender would definately be something that you'd buy locally if you have the chance. You're gonna get raped on shipping on something that large.

.or should I just go to a muffler shop that dose mandrel bending and see if they would do it for me??

Altho I've never had to take my stuff to a shop, that's the first place I send all my friends. If you tell them what you need from the start (and don't have ***** attached to your chest) they'll help you out. Now, if you've got ***** like me, ****, you're just outta luck. Maybe call them on the phone and talk in a deep voice to get all the details worked out first, then say you're just a secretary who was sent out to pick up parts. Works like a charm and you don't get **** on ;D

Even if it isn't a mandrel pipe bender I'm sure it would be fun to keep aorund the house so you could bend pipes whenever you needed to, you know, for fun.
